A continuation
programme called Typing and Shorthand Training Centre is
implementing under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of
India, New Delhi as ongoing programme supporting 80 Scheduled
Caste rural youths per year at Machi Block of Chandel District
located at Pallel, giving vocational training on Typing and Shorthand
trade with the mobilisation of income generation to those trainees.
VORHA have given opportunities of getting various job either at
Government Departments or Private Firms to the Scheduled Caste
rural youths.

Under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs,
Government of India, New Delhi another continuation programme
called Mobile Dispensary in Machi Block of Chandel District,
Manipur is implanting with the facilities of periodical medical check
up, time to time OPD facilities and mobile medical check up with an
ambulance with the supply of medicines in free of cost. With this
programme, various epidemic happening in the area besides the
normal diseases reveling in the area are protecting.

A cluster for Village Industries called Carpentry Cluster is implementing at Kairembikhok- Wangjing sponsored by KVIC, Ministry Micro Small Medium Enterprises, Government of India, New Delhi. Under this programme, people engaged in carpentry of the area are given awareness on cluster development process and likeminded workers are made in groups for the practise of their activities and for the higher
predictability. Beside these, Exhibition cum Sales for the products of
the beneficiaries is organised for the promotion of the market of the
products of the beneficiaries. A Common Facility Centre is for the
beneficiaries is constructed and functioned at Wangjing Wangkhei,
Thoubal District, Manipur with the facilities of training for product
innovation and producing furniture in good qualities. To promote the
sales of the products of the beneficiaries a Market Outlet is opened
at Wangjing town. A marketing federation for the marketing and
financial linkage is formed under the cluster.

As such, during the short span of time, Volunteers for Rural Health & Action has contributed a lot of development activities for the rural and urban people of Manipur. And we the members of the organization fell proud of its achievements. And also hope that such supports from the different Ministry, Departments, individual and others will remain in the future and additional support is invited in order to enable us to fulfil a larger numbers of people remaining.
